Ben is an experienced teacher who passionately believes in the power of one-to-one tutoring and learning in small groups.

He is committed to empowering each student to be able to express themselves and engage in everyday

conversation with confidence and fluency through the utilisation of innovative

learning methodologies. Ben adopts a flexible and creative approach to teaching English while still

adhering to a standard model of assessment (CEFRL).

Lessons are focused on a broad range of activities that focus on real-life situations and

communication skills.

Individual tutoring that meets the specific needs of the student and allows the student to

measure progress.

Supplementary conversational classes that focus on communication, pronunciation and real-

world scenarios offer students a unique opportunity to mimic language immersion without the

need to travel to an English speaking country.

LEVEL PROGRESSION

Students will be evaluated according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

(CEFRL), the most widely used framework for teaching and assessing English language fluency.

Students will have the opportunity to progress through the following levels: A1: Elementary, A2: Pre-

Intermediate, B1: Intermediate, B2: Upper-Intermediate, C1: Advanced

CLEAR LEARNING OUTCOMES

Each lesson will be targeted towards an individual learning outcome providing a unique opportunity for

students to monitor their progress and success, while their will be further opportunity to set goals for the

following class.

PERSONALISED FEEDBACK

Feedback is a vital element of the student’s journey in learning English. One-to-one tutoring and small

group settings results in feedback that is heavily detailed and focused on an individual learning plan.

This means that students know what they are doing well and how to improve.

ASSESSMENT

The student’s performance is constantly assessed through both oral feedback and formal assessment

to make sure that students stay on target to meet their learning goals. Students will be assessed at the

start and end of each lesson which will ensure that the teacher can consistently monitor performance.
